Michael Jackson memorial drawing 6,000 messages a second on CNN/Facebook site

Michael Jackson memorial drawing 6,000 messages a second on CNN/Facebook site

queenLike millions of others, I tuned in at 10 am Pacific time to watch the Michael Jackson memorial service, live over the web. While I wanted to share the experience and remember MJ, I also wanted to see how the Internet held up under the weight of so much video traffic.

After a few seconds of video, the picture on CNN.com stalled. Clearly, the web was choking. But viewers seemed to be having fun with the Facebook widget, which let them post status updates and watch the short messages scroll by alongside the video on the CNN web site. CNN said hundreds of thousands of people were logged into the Facebook widget and 6,000 status updates were coming in every minute. That was more than during the Obama inauguration.

I cut over to Hulu.com, which showed me a 30-second video ad before starting. They were on commentary, so I switched to Justin.tv, which handled the live streaming for E! Online. The sites seemed to be handling the traffic well, but my sense is they flowed even smoother once it was clear the ceremonies were delayed.

Smoky Robinson came on stage to talk. The crowd applauded when the family came in. Then the audio cut out from Staples Center. Jesse Jackson, Coby Bryant, Brooke Shields, Robert Townsend and a host of other celebrities were inside. But the video didn’t show any of them on the floor of the arena.

The TV networks managed to get people to tune in early by running live video of MJ’s motorcade moving down a completely cleared Los Angeles freeway (filmed from helicopters). Inside the darkened Staples Center, the crowd of 17,500 was silent, according to commentators.

Finally, the memorial service began at 10:35 am. Then a choir came on and sang a song with the line, “We are going to see the king.” The pastor came on and said, “We come together in this space where only days ago Michael sang and dance and brought his joy as only Michael could.” Singer Mariah Carey came out on stage next and sang “I’ll Be There,” accompanied by Trey Lorenz. CNN briefly cut out of the song and then returned to it, for an unknown reason. On Facebook, snarky and sentimenal comments rolled by. Many said they were crying. Another said, “Thank God she had Trey. He saved her performance.”

Queen Latifah reminisced about how she tried to repeat the moves of the Jackson Five. She said, “Michael was the biggest star on earth.” On Facebook, people echoed the comment. The event is still going on now, but clearly it’s going to be one of the most watched events on the planet. We’ll find out soon how well the Internet has held up.

'Jacko's ghost at Neverland'

Look very carefully to see the Ghost in the corridor left side in light Grey shadow. video below.

'Jacko's ghost at Neverland'

MICHAEL Jackson fans are in a frenzy over a possible sighting of the star's GHOST at Neverland.

An eerie shadow resembling Jacko's figure appeared on a wall in the singer's former home during a live television programme last week - and walked across the corridor. It moved quickly from left to right before disappearing.

See the video below...

The spooky sighting came during CNN's 'Inside Neverland', which featured an interview between interviewer Larry King and Michael's brother Jermaine.

Neither the presenter nor the cameraman noticed the spectre. But after it was posted on YouTube fans picked up the shadow and rumours spread across the internet like wildfire.

During the programme - aired a week after his death - Miko Brando, Marlon's son and a long-term friend of Jackson's, takes a film crew on a tour of Neverland.

At one point their camera is pointed down a long hall-way when the shadowy figure appears at its far end.

Chat forums were flooded with messages from fans last night who insisted the shadow was Michael's ghost.

Michael Jackson’s Secret Girlfriend

Secret Girlfriend of Michael Jackson’s is no more secret…Mystery girlfriend of Michal Jackson revealed.

Michael Jackson had “a secret girlfriend” for several years. This information is now revealed by Michael’s former body guard Matt Fiddes told news media.

With questions arising about the late Pop King’s sexuality and the revelations that all his children are not biologically related many have presumed Michael Jackson may have been a gay man. But now these rumours of Michael Jackson being a gay are baseless after former body guard Matt Fiddle said Michael Jackson had “someone special” in his life but Jackson had managed to keep his love relationship a mystery from the world.

Matt Fiddle tells Sky News “I’m not going to name who she is but I think the family were aware that there was someone special in his life who he loved and adored and had his ups and downs with,”

WORLD EXCLUSIVE: Michael Jackson’s secret girlfriend was his children’s former nanny Grace Rwaramba

Jacko’s personal photographer Ian Barkley says: Grace loved Michael and he loved her.. it was an open secret among staff

Jackson's secret girlfriend was his children's former nanny Grace RwarambaMichael Jackson had a secret girlfriend who his children called “mom”, close friends of the singer have told the Sunday Mirror.

We can reveal that the star was in a long-term relationship with Ugandan-born Grace Rwaramba at the time he died.

Ian Barkley, who travelled the world with Jacko for three years as his personal photographer, says the couple’s romance was an open secret among staff after they fell in love while she was nanny to his children.

Ian told how, behind closed doors, Grace, 42, acted like a normal mum to Jackson’s kids Prince Michael, 12, Paris Katherine, 11 and six-year-old Prince Michael II.

“Grace loved Michael and he loved her,” he said. “The kids called her ‘Mom’.”

Last week Jackson’s former head of security Matt Fiddes revealed the King of Pop had a secret lover – but refused to reveal her name.

Fiddes, 30, who has known Jacko since the 1990s, said: “The family were aware that there was someone special in his life who he loved and adored and had his ups and downs with.

“For some time she’s been present in his life. She wasn’t a celebrity figure – absolutely not. I imagine she is distraught right now.”

Another of Jackson’s bodyguards said: “Matt was referring to Grace. They were more like a married couple than employer and employee.”

The minder, who asked not to be identified added: “Grace was the closest person to Michael and the kids. She will be broken-hearted. The children were always their joint priority and like any couple they’d row if they disagreed about how they were being brought up.

“But the difference between Grace and other women in Michael’s life was that she had absolutely no interest in fame. It was something she actively avoided and Michael was determined to keep her and their relationship out of the public gaze.

“The romance was well-known among staff but it was made very clear to them that this was not something that should become part of the public domain.”

Grace was introduced to Jacko by his former spokesman Dr Tohme R Tohme in 1991. She started out as a secretary before working her way up to become the most important woman in the superstar’s life.

In 1999 she was picked to care for Jackson’s oldest kids following his divorce from second wife Debbie Rowe. She became the dominant figure in their lives with one insider noting: “Everything is done Grace’s way.”

Six years later, Jackson asked her to take the children to meet the oldest kids’ surrogate mother Debbie Rowe. Debbie was said to be stunned when she heard the kids call Grace “Mom”. The bond between them was so strong that it was Grace the kids reportedly cried for after hearing of their father’s death 10 days ago.

This week Grace was back in Beverly Hills after Jackson’s family asked her to help comfort the kids. She is expected to be among the chief mourners at the private family funeral on Tuesday.

Barkley, a key member of Jacko’s inner circle between 2002 and 2005, believes the children should live with Grace rather than Jackson’s mum, who has temporary custody.

But Debbie Rowe is preparing to launch her own multi-million-dollar custody bid.

Ian added: “Though I love Michael’s mum Katherine, she is 79 and if she passes on, the best place for the kids to go would be to Grace. She really raised them. She was with them day in and day out. She really loved them and they they adored her as they would a mother.”

Stunning Grace, who also had a short-lived romance with Jackson’s older brother Jermaine in the early Nineties, said last week she quit the US in December after being sacked by Jacko. The drug-addled star was said to have become jealous of her closeness to the children.

Grace had been sacked on several other occasions only to be re-employed. Once she was dismissed for calling Jackson’s mother and sister to ask them to intervene over his drug problems.

She has said that in recent months he had become dirty and unkempt, and had so little ready money he could not even afford balloons to mark Paris’s birthday – adding that Katherine phoned her the day after his death to ask where money was hidden in his house.

Grace revealed Michael hid cash in black bags under carpets at his Los Angeles mansion. The former nanny this year set up home in London, where the Thriller singer was due to stage his 50-date comeback shows this month.

Jackson was drawn to Grace because of their shared interest in helping children in poverty. She backed his idea to adopt five kids from developing countries and two years ago the couple were said to be planning a major humanitarian campaign to help destitute children.

Grace was also credited for convincing the star that he could make a full-scale comeback and reclaim his King of Pop crown.

The loyal nanny, who describes Jacko’s kids as as “my babies”, told a TV interviewer last week: “I took them in my arms on the first day of each of their lives.”

She is said to have wielded so much power in the Jackson household that she controlled all access to the singer – even deciding which family members could speak to him.

Three years ago she reportedly barred Michael’s dad Joe from the family mansion.

A year later it was rumoured the couple had secretly married but this was denied by Grace, who is still legally married to first husband Stacey Adair.

MICHAEL JACKSON IS ALIVE! Pop King faked his death, say sources, adding, ‘Comeback tour will be biggest in music history’

Billions of people around the world think pop genius Michael Jackson is dead and set to be buried but nothing could be further from the truth.

ALIVE - OR NOT? You be the judge.

ALIVE - OR NOT? You be the judge.

In fact, say sources in a position to know, the superstar faked his death to escape the crushing pressures of life in a fishbowl -and he is now socked away in an undisclosed location in Eastern Europe – possibly Hungary – far from the clamor and commotion of paparazzi and reporters covering his “autopsy” and “funeral” in southern California.

Do you believe Michael Jackson faked his death?

… In fact, say sources in a position to know, the superstar faked his death to escape the crushing pressures of life in a fishbowl – and he is now socked away in an undisclosed location in Eastern Europe, possibly Hungary, far from the clamor of paparazzi covering his “autopsy” and “funeral” in southern California.

And in the strangest twist of all, say the insiders, once he’s rested and ready, Jackson, 50, will blow the lid off his own hoax – and embark on the most spectacularly lucrative concert tour in the history of rock ‘n’ roll.

“Michael is following in the footsteps of a man he greatly admired – another rock icon, Elvis Presley, who also faked his death and is still alive, and in hiding, today,” William Stern, who has written extensively on Presley, told me exclusively.

“Unlike Elvis, however, Michael is withdrawing from his celebrity before it destroys him. And he also is planning, once he has rested and regrouped, to stage a comeback unlike anything in rock history.

“Make no mistake, Jackson is a genius, both as a performer and as and showman and marketer and promoter. Remember when he made an offer to buy the remains of The Elephant Man from a British museum just to get the publicity?

“Remember when he reputedly was trying to find a way to live forever by spending hours in a hyperbaric chamber?

“If you look at his history, at some of the stunts he’s pulled to keep himself in the public eye, to maintain a sense of mystery about who he is and what he’s all about, the idea that he would fake his death makes sense.

“Let’s face it – Michael has been vilified by many in the press and by people who just don’t like him. He’s been accused of pedophilia. He’s been called ‘Wacko Jacko’ and a ‘Pop Weirdo’.

“Yes, he’s got billions of fans. Yes, he’s sold perhaps a billion records and CDs. But for all the love he gets, there are those who have been and continue to be unkind, and mean-spirited.

“I’ll make you a bet. If it takes six months, if it takes a year, if it takes two years, it doesn’t matter: When he’s rested and ready, and pulls the curtain up on his faked death, the world is going to stand still.

“With all due respect to the President of United States, Michael on a ‘Back from the Dead Tour’ will make Barack Obama look like a B-List celebrity.”

Stern’s sources say Jackson has been planning his escape for at least 16 months, but nobody, not even those who are closest to him, took him seriously, the expert said, “until now.”

“It’s unclear where he has gone – he mentioned South America, Canada, Russia, Kenya, Japan and Australia over the past year … all smokescreens, no doubt,” continued Stern.

“The best information I have suggests he is in Eastern Europe, in a medieval castle, possibly in Hungary. Right now, my sources are saying, ‘Leave him alone. Let him rest. Give him time.’

“They say that fans can help him recover by showing their love and respect for him. They say, ‘You better believe he is watching all the coverage.’ And they say fans can give Michael a boost by flashing peace signs to cameras – like he was famous for doing – and telling reporters they know he is alive.’”

But first, here’s a Bonus Feature for fans who think Michael Jackson has, in fact, died and passed over into Heaven. Psychic at Dick Kulpa’s IudexOnline says Elvis Presley welcomed MJ to Paradise (as depicted in this stirring sketch by Mr. Kulpa.
